Guidance with preparation for NMC Part 2 course (OSCE)
We understand the importance of providing quality nurses and thereby provide guidance in preparing the nurses for the practical, part 2, examination while working in UK.
The second part of the test by NMC is the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). This acts out scenarios which nurses are likely to encounter when they assess, plan, carry out and evaluate care. Each separate clinical examination is known as a ‘station’ and the candidates visit all the stations within a set time.
Nurses are expected to demonstrate safe and effective practice. The test of competence is based on current UK pre-registration standards. Each of the six stations has standardised marking criteria against which you are assessed.
